Who Is This For?

This is for every fallen faith, for every broken heart, for every cowardly soul. This is for the lost, the wise and the stubborn. This is for the earth’s dwellers and the pathos underneath their ragged clothes. This is for you, who trusts, who hopes; you who watches the stars every night with your candid dreams. This is for you, whom I love but I do not know why, and for you whom I hate but only as the day is long. This is for the stuck, the damned and the dead, and for every breath that comes with every bit of tragedy. This is for the flowers in May, the birth of kittens, the laughter between old friends, the smell of a new book, the sound of waves in the ocean, the taste of water after a 10K marathon, and the sight of sunset at the end of an arduous day. This is the adventure in the other world- the one less inhabited. And this is for you.

“Dare You To Move” by Switchfoot

Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone’s here
Everyone’s here
Everyone’s watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next?
What happens next?

I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move like today never happened
Today never happened before

Welcome to the fallout
Welcome to resistance
The tension is here
The tension is here
Between who you are and who you could be
Between how it is and how it should be, yeah

I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move like today never happened
Today never happened

Maybe redemption has stories to tell
Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?

Salvation is here

I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move like today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened before…

You. Yes, you. I dare you to move.
